Fillr is designed to help users track fuel purchases, receipts, trips and vehicle running costs while collecting as little personal information as possible.

Privacy-first design: Fillr stores detailed trip information locally on your device whenever practical and only stores the minimum information required to synchronise your data across devices.

Information We Collect

Fillr may collect and store the following information:

• Trip records including the approximate trip origin and destination suburb only.
• Fuel receipt information entered manually or scanned through the app.
• A user identifier used to associate data with your account across multiple devices.

If you create an account, we may store your email address solely for authentication, account recovery and data synchronisation purposes.

The user identifier is not based on your name and is used solely for account functionality and data synchronisation.

Information We Do Not Collect

Fillr is designed to minimise the amount of personal information stored on our servers.

• We do not store exact trip start or end addresses on our servers.
• We do not collect precise location histories for cloud storage.
• We do not sell user data to third parties.
• We do not use user data for advertising profiling.

Local Device Storage

Certain information, including specific addresses and other detailed trip information, may be stored locally on your device rather than on Fillr servers.

This approach helps reduce the amount of sensitive information stored online and provides additional protection in the unlikely event of a data breach.

How Information Is Used

We use collected information to:

• Provide fuel tracking and trip logging features.
• Synchronise data across multiple devices when you sign into your account.
• Generate fuel usage, vehicle running cost and trip reports.
• Improve the functionality and reliability of the Fillr platform.
• Provide account recovery and authentication services.

Your Data

Your data belongs to you. Fillr does not sell user information and is designed to give users control over their records.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated cloud-stored data at any time. Once an account deletion request has been processed, any data stored by Fillr that is linked to that account will be permanently removed, except where retention is required by law.

Information stored locally on your device remains under your control and may need to be removed directly from your device if you uninstall the application without first synchronising or deleting your account.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information stored by Fillr. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we are committed to minimising data collection and implementing appropriate safeguards where practical.
